Kachorovska's Spring-Summer Season is Dedicated to Care and Humanity. Care and humanity have been central to us for a long time, especially since the full-scale invasion highlighted those in society who care deeply for others. One day, we all began thinking more about our loved ones and friends, and even helping strangers both within our country and beyond.

At the same time, each of us is experiencing our unique journey through the war. For soldiers, it’s one experience, for volunteers another, and for civilians, it’s different from both soldiers and volunteers. To demonstrate our unity and strength despite these varied experiences, the Kachorovska team collaborated with Ukrainian artist Zhanna Kadyrova, who created the artwork "Gradient."

As an artistic technique, a gradient—a smooth transition from one tone to another—symbolizes the fluid transition that shows both the diversity and unity of our society in a shared goal within a common space and time. This art piece is a joint expression by the artist and the brand, aiming to show that through communication and sharing experiences, we will better understand one another.

"We are all gaining an unconventional experience of life in a country at war, under attack by an aggressor. This has brought to light many things that were previously hidden. 'Gradient' symbolizes the emergence of the most positive human qualities. We talked about care, because it's especially present in our lives now. We all worry about our loved ones and friends on the front lines, the fate of our country, and the progress of the war. The color gradient from black to white symbolizes our waves of mood and strength, which we lose and then regain. It’s a symbol through which we can discuss the state of people living here and now," explains Zhanna Kadyrova.

The artwork consists of household enamelware filled with glossy ceramic tiles in shades from black to white. This technique creates the illusion of the dishes being filled, making the tile surface difficult to distinguish from liquid. All objects are placed between mirrors, creating an effect of infinite gradient.

The "Gradient" installation is Zhanna Kadyrova’s first work to be displayed in a retail space. The piece will be available for viewing at Kachorovska’s flagship store throughout May and June 2024.
