On Thursday, Alina and I went for lunch at Italy's finest establishment – a last workshop. We didn't even bother looking at the menu because we knew exactly what we wanted. We ordered a pair of wooden clogs, explaining to the chef that the toe shouldn't be too long, but the overall silhouette should still be elongated. They assured us it would be ready in 20 minutes.
The kitchen in this place is open, so we could see all the tools and the cooking process. They put a lot of effort into our "dish," cutting and polishing the toe to a perfect "golden crust."
When our order arrived, we were amazed by the harmony of flavors. It didn't need any salt or pepper. That's how I describe ordering a new pair of clogs in Italy. Because the process of crafting a new shape is truly a "cooking" experience, where the most important thing is to do it with love ❤️
